Manage Current Product Data - Adding variations

Quickly Adding a new Variation in Product Manager
Log into product manager and click on Manage Current Product Data in the top left hand corner.

Once the data download has taken place the following screen will appear.

If you look in the top right hand corner of the screen, you will see a blue button labelled ‘Add New Variation’.

What this button is clicked, a new dialogue box will appear. See below.

First of all, enter the SKU number of the product that you wish to add a new variation for.
If you start typing the SKU number, you will see a list of matching SKU’s below the text box that you are typing, in, click on the match that appears to avoid typing the entire SKU into the box.

The two most common variations to be found in online store’s are Colour and Size. In this specific example, Variation One, is my attribute for Colour.  Enter the colour of the new variation that you are adding.

In this current example my second variation is Size. Enter the size of the new variation into this box (see below).

If you have several new colours and size’s to add for your product it is best to do a variation for each one. For example, if I also had the same colour product in UK Size 9, I would repeat this process once more with the same information aside from adding UK Size 9 into the Variation Two Field.
Next add a title for this variation. Make it Descriptive so that you can easily identify the variation by  the title.

I.e. Clicket Shoes – Red / Blue – UK 8

Once you have added a title for this variation, you will be prompted to choose a category to add this new variation too.

Once you have chosen a new category, click on the ‘Save new Variation’ button at the top of the screen.

If everything worked as it should do, you should see the following prompt.

You will now be taken to a screen where you can add more information about the new variant.

Enter the price adjustment, stock levels and tax information here. The following screens are discussed in greater detail in another tutorial.

Next, click on the ‘Shipping’ button on the left hand side, the following screen will appear.
 
Variation One: Provides information on different variations of the product. This may be colour, size, style, gender specific, etc.
 
Variation Two: Provides information on different variations of the product. This may be colour, size, style, gender specific, etc.
 
Manufacturer Code:
 
Replen Min Stock:
 
Replen Order Qty:
 
Bin Location: This is the storage bay/bin where the product is being held, this value shows up on the warehouse app when picking orders.
 
Stock Level: Provides accurate information on your total inventory levels for each product.
 
Stock Level Action: This is a drop-down menu which allows you to select the current action for the stock. I.e. is the product out of stock? Can it be pre-ordered? Is the product due to arrive in store? Etc.
Tax: The amount of VAT that will be charged.
 
Selling Cost (Include Tax): Is the price that the product will be sold at to customer.
 
Selling Offer Cost (Include Tax): If a product is currently on offer, The price will cross out the Selling Price and display the offer price below.
 
Selling Trade Cost (Include Tax):
 
RRP Cost: Recommended retail price is the suggested retail price of the product and provides a comparison of the average market price of your product to your selling price.
 
Buying Cost: Here, users can see the cost that they have bought each product. This is useful when determining the markup percentage and to see the profits that will be made on each product.
Website Min Qty:
 
Website Max Qty:
 
Barcode: This is the unique barcode that matches each product. Providing this information to the Product Manager System will help ensure all platforms are working together and stock levels are accurate.
 
Pick Note information: Add additional information for the pick note, if required.
Variation Images: Here you can add images for the current variation.
 
Stock Filters:
 
Next, click on the ‘Shipping’ button on the left hand side, the following screen will appear.

Here you will be able to define the shipping parameters for this variation. Including the package dimensions, and weight. You will also be able to select which shipping options are available for this specific variation.
 
Next, click on the ‘Market Places’ button on the left hand side.
 
If you need to deploy the variation to other online market places, you can do so here.

Making further changes to of the other pages of this section (prefixed with SKU) will also cause the changes to be reflected on all the other product variations that share this SKU (if there are any). So make changes in these pages with care.

Click on Save at the top of the screen to save the new variation.


Don’t forget to upload the changes to the server when you have finished making changes or adding further variants.


Press the green upload changes button at the top of the screen when ready.

All done, now press the home button at the top left hand corner of the screen to return to the home page.
