The MOD Delivery app allows processing of picking up and delivering orders from the MOD Commerce product suite.
This app can only be used in conjunction with the MOD Desktop POS system and also integrates with Bluetooth scanners. It is available on both iOS and Android.
The app has 2 main functions:
- Confirming pick up of order
- Confirming delivery of order
Settings
When the app runs for the first time, you will be required to enter the key and service domain. If you do not have this information, please contact MOD Commerce.
You can also later access the settings page from the side menu.
Scanner Is Attached:
Swipe right on this button if you are using a Bluetooth scanner with the MOD Warehouse app.
Driver Id:
The id for the driver using the app (provided by MOD Commerce).
Service Domain:
Please enter the service domain here (provided by MOD Commerce).
App Key:
Enter your MOD Warehouse app key here (provided by MOD Commerce).
Navigation
The icon will appear as three horizontal bars (otherwise known as a hamburger) in the top left corner of the screen. Pressing on the icon will open the navigation on the left-hand side of the screen.
Navigation Options
The options are
- Dispatch - pick up items from the warehouse.
- Deliveries - delivery items to customer.
- Settings - manage the settings for the app.
Dispatch
A list of orders waiting to be picked up will be displayed. Press on each order to view the details.
Picking up items
A list of all items to be picked up for this order will be displayed. You will need to confirm all items before you can move forward from this page.
An unconfirmed item will have a red x next to it. A confirmed item will have a green tick.
If you have a Bluetooth scanner attached, scan each item to confirm it has been picked up. Single items will be confirmed automatically. If multiple of the same item are to be picked up, you will need confirmation receivership of all items.
If you do not have a Bluetooth scanner attached, press on each item to confirm the amount picked up.
When all items have been confirmed the Confirm Delivery Pick Up button will be enabled.
Confirming Dispatch
Once all items have been picked up you will be taken to the confirmation screen. You can use text input here to add any notes.
Sign using a finger or stylus inside the white box to confirm order has been received.
Delivery
A list of orders waiting to be delivered will be displayed. Press on each order to view the details.
Delivering items
A list of all items to be delivered for this order will be displayed. You will need to confirm all items before you can move forward from this page.
An unconfirmed item will have a red x next to it. A confirmed item will have a green tick.
If you have a Bluetooth scanner attached, scan each item to confirm it has been delivered. Single items will be confirmed automatically. If multiple of the same item are to be picked up, you will need confirmation delivery of all items.
If you do not have a Bluetooth scanner attached, press on each item to confirm the amount delivered.
When all items have been confirmed the Confirm Delivery button will be enabled.
Confirming Delivery
Once all items have been picked up you will be taken to the confirmation screen. You can use text input here to add any notes.
Ask the customer to sign using a finger or stylus inside the white box to confirm order has been received.
When you submit the form, you will be asked to take a photo to confirm the delivery. You may be prompted to allow access to the camera. Please choose while using app.
A delivery cannot be confirmed without a confirmation image.
